Robert F. Harrison
Executive Partner

Robert Harrison graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Radio, Television and Film. Harrison interned at Black Entertainment Television (BET). He also worked as an assistant to the accountant on “PREP” (later renamed Academy Boyz). Upon graduation, he moved to New York and developed his field production skills while working for a variety of independent media companies including Big Fun Productions, which produced Videos for Sony. Mr. Harrison was invited to Robert Redford’s Sundance Film Labs in Utah, where he worked with writer/director Gina Prince-Bythewood on Love & Basketball and Japanese director Yoshiyasu Fujita on The Bleep Brothers. He’s worked on such shows as the Grammy’s, the Latin Grammy’s, VH1’s Big in ’04 and Big in ‘05, the Radio Music Awards, the BET Awards and comedy specials, as well as the Soul Train and Lady of Soul Awards. For several years he worked with the script department as an offsite rehearsal liaison for the director and producers of John Cossette Productions.



Harrison has also worked on CBS’ Survivor, the Reunion, Fox’s reality series, The Complex, and the VH1 concert series featuring Green Day. On the other side of the camera, Harrison has appeared in Aaron Spelling’s Sunset Beach, and Vanilla Sky opposite Tom Cruise. He has also appeared in several national and regional commercials including Reebok (where he was Allen Iverson’s double), Mountain Dew, Coors Light, Toshiba and Honda. Mr. Harrison was a co-host for the Live Action Stage at the L.A. Times first Annual Kid City event.



In addition, Harrison hosted GUMBO TV in which he was a producer and co-creator. Past accomplishments include starring in the critically acclaimed and Emmy nominated FX show, The Shield, opposite Michael Chiklis and Glenn Close, and appearing on the 2005 BET Awards in a skit with Halle Berry during her award presentation.



Recently, Harrison produced for NBC’s regional weekly TV Car Show Whipnotic. Harrison brings his network of strategic alliances and key relationships to the Desert Wind Films production team. Utilizing his invaluable network, Harrison aids many projects in different capacities as well as aims to bring socially relevant projects displaying universal aspects of the human condition to the screen.
