T.J. Amato
President, Director of Production

In conjunction with Josh Mills, Amato will oversee the long-term strategy and financial affairs of the company.  TJ Amato moved to Los Angeles after attending The Ohio State University (Fisher College of Business) and quickly jump started his career working on multiple independent movies. He began as a Production Assistant, where he transitioned into an assistant for Director Lucky Makee (Red, The Woods, Masters of Horror, Sick Girl, May, All Cheerleaders Die) and then Geoff Haley (The Last Word, The Parlor). Immediately following he moved into the studio side of the industry working as Creative Executive for John Schwartz, former President/ COO of Maverick Films (Agent Cody Banks 1 and 2, Step Father, Twilight) where he honed his skills in both film production and distribution.

Before being recruited by Josh Mills of Desert Wind Films, Amato was working at Relativity Media (3:10 to Yuma, 300, American Gangster, Hell Boy 2, Mama Mia, Hancock, Step Brothers, Pineapple Express, Wanted, 21, Charlie Wilsons War, Bank Job, Vantage Point, and many more) where he was Manager of Physical Production, working on such films as Brothers, (staring Toby Maguire, Jake Gylenhal, Natalie Portman and academy award winning director Jim Sheridan), A Perfect Getaway, (staring Timothy Olyphant, Mila Jovovick, Kelie Sanchez, and Steve Zahn. Director David Twohy), and Felon (starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorf, directed by Ric Waugh).
